Background
Major contributor to the pioneering of lepidoptera collecting in Utah.
Served as President of the Utah Lepidopterists' Society in 1990.
In the words of Col. Clyde F. Gillette, "almost singlehandedly, kept Utah on the lepidoptera map searching out many new Utah locations, establishing 8 notable State Records and a large number of County Records and other core records including larval foodplants."
Experienced collector of butterflies throughout the Americas.
Donated collection to the BYU Monte L. Bean Life Science Museum.
