Joined the Utah Lepidopterists' Society in 1977.
Specializes in Moths--including Sphingidae, Noctuidae, Arctiidae, Saturnidae, and Catocala spp.
Became interested in life histories of moths and first collected caterpillars in 1981.
Specializes in close-up photography and video imaging of lepidoptera.
Served as U.L.S. President 6 times between 1987 and 1996.
Served as U.L.S Secretary/Treasurer for 2 years.
Wrote article "Sphingidae of Utah" appearing in Utahensis in Spring, 1983.
